~ Little Miss Sunshine House ~

We were waiting for the blossom to be in full bloom and it was out everywhere else in Basel, but this tree was just holding off a little longer. In the end we got our blossom and we had our fun! This family are having a lovely house built and the photoshoot was to remember the spring and the blossom and the house as it was right now before they move in later this summer.

What a gorgeous place! I really loved the mound of grass out the back which we found was perfect for a picnic. There will be many many happy memories built there as well as the house, I’m positive of it!

~ I’m back! ~

After 3.5 weeks of travel, visiting lots and lots of family, we are back in Basel. I am working through my mail to answer all the new inquiries I’ve had since I’ve been away, with the exciting possibility of an exhibition in the near future too. For now though, here are a few images from my travels.

~ Baby Girl Bump and Big Sis ~

This shoot was very exciting. It is the beginning of my first Bump to Babe package. Mummy hadn’t been feeling so good and we were going to skip the maternity pictures, but a week before her due date the nesting instinct must have kicked in and she suddenly was feeling like she had more energy. Luckily, I was able to squeeze her in for a maternity shoot that spanned three generations.

Little Miss E looks like she is going to be a super big sister to her new little sibling – also a girl! I’m looking forward to being ‘on call’ again for our hospital visit and the following sessions that will unfold over the course of the year. Here are a few sneak peak piccies of our session. All the best for your second labour mummy.

~ Zoo fun! ~

Last weekend I rented a lovely lens, the 70-200mm L f/2.8 IS and the 2x extender. With this beast in hand, the only place to go was the zoo. Although I was totally trumped by another photographer that not only had 2 cameras, with ginormous lenses on, he also had an assistant. The biggest lens that Canon make, the 600mm L lens had to be held down for stability with a sandbag. Anyway, I was quite pleased that I had less lens envy than usual in the zoo. Here is a slideshow of our little visit (I worked out how to embed it this morning – well done me!).
