Monthly Archives: September 2011

I’m a little bit behind with my admin tasks at the moment. It was my weekend off this last weekend and the two days prior to it were spent taking photos and not in front of the computer at all. I actually took these piccies three weeks ago, so thanks for being so patient. In fact, I saw this cutie pies in a popular Italian eatery in Basel yesterday. I was eating pasta with my little one and these two cute faces came over to say hello! So so sweet.

It looked like it wasn’t going to be a great weekend and in the end the day of this shoot was super hot. We started out by the Pumpkin cart and then after finding them growing in the fields we ran for cover in the forest. Here are a few shots from our shoot. Hopefully the rest of them will not take as long to get to you!!

Aren’t the colours beautiful:

Siblings loving on each other – it’s moments like these I remember from being little with my brother:

Boys as usual don’t stay still for long, so I just end up chasing them doing what they do:

I love the girly joy in this one:

This just reminds me of the other family portraits I’ve done with these guys – the first when mama was pregnant:

And I just love this one..

I am happy to announce that the delightful and beautiful StyleMixers – Rachel and Sophie will be imparting their excellent advice here on the blog to help my lovely clients with what to wear for a session. These posts are from them, so enjoy the first seasonal post from them. Check out their website for more information and to book your own customised session with them. They also have a special photoshoot advice package. I have had the pleasure of the, ‘Wardrobe Planning’ experience and will blog about it soon(ish). All I can say right now is that it is so worth it!

Now from the girls:

So you’ve booked your photo shoot with the lovely Claire Pearson and you’re not sure what to wear?

We’d love to help put outfits together for you or your family that speak to who you are, allowing you to feel your best with the least amount of stress. We will help you decide on a color palette that reflects your life and go from there! We can make recommendations based on what you already own, or if you are planning to make new purchases we are happy to help with that.

For this Fall look:
As the days shorten and the leaves turn, Fall slowly begins announcing itself. What better way to compliment the Fall colors in your photo than to pair purple and green together in your wardrobe? Make this work for you by pairing bold colors with a neutral palate.

I was asked a while back if I would be interested in taking photos for a couple that were celebrating their 10th Wedding Anniversary. The wife wanted to give a photoshoot to her husband to celebrate 10 amazing married years together. I of course said yes and made up a nice little gift voucher for the occasion. We chatted a little about a location and decided upon Dornach Castle ruins. I’ve been up there a couple of times (not on a photoshoot) and it is a lovely place. The location didn’t let us down and I didn’t have to work too hard getting this couple to be all lovely with each other – they are clearly a great match! Lots of love and laughter and adventures. I wish you many many more happy anniversaries! It was fun spending some time with you both. Here are a few snaps:

It’s hard to plan newborn shoots. Unless there is a time and a date when you know the baby is going to be born, I’m usually in touch with the expectant mama’s and waiting for the call from them to say that their little bundle of joy has arrived. This little lady arrived and I went to go and see her for her Premium Birth Announcement photos that take place in the hospital in the first few days after birth. Isn’t she just adorable:

Congratulations to you all and thanks for having me share the beauty you have created and capture her first days for you. xx
